Madurai

Auch wenn es schon etwas her ist muessen wir noch einen Eintrag ueber Madurai schreiben, wo wir vor circa 1 1/2 Wochen waren. Da das Wetter auch nicht so schoen war (Monsoon) sind wir auch nur 2 Tage dort geblieben. Madurai ist eines der aeltesten Staedte in Suedindien und ist bekannt fuer seine grosse Tempelanlage, mit Elefanten und allem pipapo. Viele Inder pilgern dort hin und es war ein sehr buntes Erlebnis fuer uns. Ansonsten wollen wir noch gerne das gute Essen dort loben... soweit mit das beste hier in Indien.
Momentan sind wir in Auroville und in einer Woche geht es auch schon nach Australien. Mehr zu Auroville werden wir in unserem naechsten Eintrag schreiben.

Even though we left Madurai about 1 1/2 weeks ago, we still want to write an entry about it. Since the weather has been rather miserable due to the monsoon, we decided to stay only two days. Madurai is one of the oldest cities in south India and famous for its huge temple. Many Hindu pilgrims come here and it was a very colourful experience to witness. Furthermore we'd like to mention that here we had the best indian food so far...yummy.
At the moment we are in Auroville and in about a weeks time we'll go to Australia. More about Auroville in our next entry.
